it’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood…
Tuesday, August 19th, 2008ok, not technically, as we are experiencing some thunder, lightning and of course, rain. but in the studio of YWP, we are having a great day! we entered our first AGWPJA contest and walked away with 4th and 13th in the engagement portrait category!

Thursday, June 26th, 2008just got the news that i got accepted into the ARTISTIC GUILD OF THE WEDDING PHOTOJOURNALIST ASSOCIATION. sure, i can play the coy and modest asian girl that i was brought up to be, but i’m just too happy to do that. YAY~!!! (doing my happy dance) i feel very honored to be apart of this elite group of photographers that focuses on fine art wedding photojournalism. ok, now i must call everyone i know to brag, i mean… share, this wonderful news!
what is AGWPJA?
The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association [AG]WPJA is a group of international wedding photojournalists, who capture unscripted wedding moments as they happen, and excel in the art of post-production image processing. The [AG]WPJA is a division within the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA); one which specifically promotes Fine Art Wedding Photojournalism.

here are some outtakes from the shoot dave did of me for our new website. i was stressing for weeks and even attempted to go on another crazy diet, but gave up after 3 days because of my addiction to shin ramyun. in the end, i was able to lose that extra 5 lbs with the help and support of my best friend, adobe photoshop.

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008one of my favorite part in wedding photography is designing the wedding album. i love playing with the layout of the images to compose a story. i look a leap of faith and entered miranda+cory’s album to the very competitive annual wppi album competition. to my surprise, i received an email from them last week to let me know that my album actually received an ” accolade of excellence .” regardless, i really enjoyed designing this album, but a little recognition is always welcome…
