peek-a-boo + my new philosophy about life… at the moment

Monday, August 2nd, 2010

saturday was our 10 year high school reunion.  david and i had to ditch because we were busy shooting a wonderful wedding.  i didn’t  miss out completely though.  my old friend (first year of junior high we had almost every class together ), jesse and his lovely fiance, kara came out from vegas and hung out with me thursday morning.   we caught up and managed to get some super romantic images for their engagement sesh.

* * *

wow, can’t believe it’s been 10 years already…  this is where i usually start my rant about how sad i am about getting old…  but today, today i feel blessed.  yes, it does suck that i am getting older: my metabolism can’t seem to catch up with my love for food, my daily moisturizing regiment has doubled in time, and i have to work for a living, instead for the j crew discount.  but other than that, everything else in my life has changed for the better.  i have a wonderful family, a job i absolutely adore, great friends, no more homework and tests (my mortal enemy), the list goes on and on.  i can honestly say that the last 10 years have been great for me.  i can’t wait to see what the next 10 will bring!

of course, this is how i feel today.  tomorrow?  who knows.  maybe when i see my first wrinkle i will be singing a different tune.

wish all the ‘00 vikings another wonderful decade!

yeri+adam

Monday, June 28th, 2010

well here is it!  the long anticipated engagement session of yeri+adam!

i’ve known yeri since high school and she is definitely one of the most creative people i know.  not to mention smart, beautiful, and so, so, so hilarious.  i spent most of my time with her laughing, so it’s no surprise she ended up with adam, a rare guy who can actually keep up with her!  now, i laugh twice as hard. :)

ok back to my talented friend, yeri.  so as some of you might know, after planning her own wedding, years of art experience, and all of our requests that she share her talent with the world, yeri is finally opening her own shop!  yeri yun designs is going to be THE place for one of a kind custom invitations and the loveliest styling services.  YWP brides and grooms will get to enjoy special introductory (aka ridiculously low) rates, so please email her and tell her yvonne sent you!

*shooting note:  the day before the shoot, yeri came over and we baked up a storm in the kitchen for hours over these cute little french macarons.  it’s funny and sad at the same time that after all that effort, we only ended up with 24 macarons!  the even sadder and not so funny part is that 15 minutes after we set up the scene, an off leash golden retriever came out of nowhere and ate some of them!!!  luckily, it didn’t effect our shoot too much (well, a little on my sanity) and we still ended up with some truely fun and dreamy eye candies.

go ahead, bon appetit!
