macarons!

so lately, i’ve been bitten by the baking bug, HARD.  i find the whole process of mixing and piping really relaxing.  one bake good i am determined to master is the french macaron.  these little suckers are very hard to make due to their tempermental nature.  every procedure must be precise.  i must have baked at least 10 batches before they became even half way decent.  i don’t know how much heartache i’ve endured while making these cookies, but when i get it right, boy, it is rewarding!

these are batch #13.  they will be part of a very special engagement session i will be shooting tomorrow.  stay tuned.

  1. omg! these look SOOO perfect and i love how you styled this picture!! i’ve made 2 batches so far but mine still do need A LOT of work too, these babies are NOT easy! but i am impressed and i can’t wait for the engagement shoot pics!!

  6. Wow, gorgeous and tasty! After meeting you I went to Bakery Nouveau the last 2 weekends. Tried the macaroons last time. I love this place. I can’t remember the other bakery you mentioned that the macaroons were even better….
