nellie+chad

engagement, portrait | September 14, 2009

you might recognize nellie from the super popular blog, weddingbee.com, as the ever-so stylish mrs. canary .  i have been a fan of hers for a while, so it was definitely beyond flattering when someone as creative as her asked me to shoot their portrait for them.

nellie+chad got married a year ago and decided to start the sweetest tradition of taking annual portraits to mark the milestones of the family they have created together.  i loved the idea! don’t you just love flipping through old photos, reminiscing those fun moments and be proud of how far you’ve come along together?

the portrait session couldn’t have been more perfect.  beautiful field, gorgeous lighting, not to mention nellie+chad was the most easy-going and silly couple i’ve ever met.  if you can’t tell from the images, we had a lot of fun and laughs during the shoot.  good times…

nellie+chad, thank you for the fun time.  we can’t wait to see you guys again when we visit nyc come december!

  4. Love your work. I have always been a big fan. I have been following you since Xanga, and I notice your perspective and style have improve greatly!!! don’t get me wrong, you have always been extremely creative in your work!! But now, I find your work to be more mature.

As of that I will also like to ask for a pieces of advices. I am interesting in taking photography more seriously, and hopefully one day create work like yours. Do you mind to share with me some of your educational background like what classes you takes for photography??
