i absolutely love shooting kids/family portrait. the images always end up to be an unexpected, yet pleasant surprise. case in point, maliya and melissa’s family portrait.
on the way to santa monica beach, maliya sang a few of the billboard chart toppers for us, such as damaged by danity kane, and britney spear’s gimme more . dave and i were both so tickled and amazed by how a 2 year old was able to memorized the lyrics to these pop songs, that we don’t even know the words too. watch out american idol, maliya’s coming to get you soon!

o my gosh, i love her big, sparkling, brown eyes. i caught a perfect reflection of myself in there.
