oops, a little late on the merry x-mas, so i guess happy holidays everybody!
i’m gonna be honest and say the unspeakable here: my favorite part of the holidays is … the presents! muhahaha…
every year dave and i will attempt to keep our presents for each other a secret, but most of the time, i am able to interrogate the crap out of him and find out what my present is before x-mas. this year he got smart and got me a whole bunch of presents, so i was pleasantly surprised to find in addition to the 2 mario testino books and the canon powershot under the tree (he sacrificed them to me a few days before as decoys), there was a brand new ipod touch in my stocking.
you little sneak, you!
well, i’m officially back from my trip to so. cal. although i didn’t get the chance to shop at the cute stores, and eat at the glitzy restaurants, it was still a very rewarding experience.
i met and befriended two really sweet couples. i shot a really unique and fantastic portrait session. i finally got to taste the yumminess that is pink berry. i attended a super educational workshop. and most of all, i got to spent some quality time with my mom, which i haven’t done in a while.
the main purpose of my trip was to attend the much coveted photography workshop: shootshop , which was hosted by the world famous, the image is found photography. now, i’m not usually a workshop kind of girl, but i have admired and worshipped nate and jaclyn since the beginning of time, so i knew i couldn’t pass the chance to meet and learn from them. i am so glad i made the trip out to so. cal. to see them. not only am i more inspired as an artist , but i also feel more knowledgeable and prepared as a business owner. i give shootshop two thumbs up, way up!
o yea, and the cherry to my sundae: i found out i placed in wpja’s recent contest.
i’ll see you soon california!
i immediately fell in love with hanna+jin upon meeting them for the first time. i can’t quite put my finger on it, but they reminded me a lot of me and david. considering hanna+jin canceled with their previous photographer and booked with me, there was definitely a little pressure coming into this wedding. however, my nervousness quickly vanished when i saw how beautiful everything was. the hotel, the flowers, the dresses, the people… everything was wonderful. it was becoming apparent that this was going to be a very successful wedding shoot.
they caught 9… jin’s getting his little army
a wall of tv in the bar, jackpot!
my favorite location of the day for couple portrait: the bathroom
what can i say? the lighting and color of the room was perfect
luckily, hanna+jin had complete trust in me
simple, yet intimate
“just throw your hands up in the air, and party hardy like you just don’t care”
congratulations, hanna+jin! thank you for giving us the opportunity to capture such wonderful memories and images!
