engagement | December 31, 2008
happy new year! well, it’s not officially 2009 here in seattle yet, but it is everywhere else! i got my wisdom teeth pulled out yesterday, so i am spending new year’s eve at home, heavily medicated, and sporting a pair of sexy chipmunk cheeks.
boy, i still have so much blogging to catch up…
here’s cindy + charles’ engagement session. this gorgeous couple was a bit shy at first, but after some fun, we were able to get some super fun and cute images. i discovered a couple of new textures, so i did myself a little experimentin’.

cindy + charles, can’t wait until your wedding in may!
sandra + vincent
day after, engagement | December 16, 2008
i’ve never met sandra + vincent prior to their engagement session, yet we bonded instantly as if we’ve been long time friends. by long time friends, i mean i was able to “boss” them around with questionable poses and experimental shots, where they were more than happy to comply with all my irrational demands. my favorite kind of subjects. :) their complete trust in me definitely paid off big time in the end, and i was able to capture these ultra romantic and fun images for them… definitely one of my favorite couple sessions.

sandra + vincent, thank you for being such good sports. these beautiful images wouldn’t have been possible without your jumping, running, and rolling around in your dress and suit.

kelsey+lane
wedding | December 9, 2008
it was a sunny and hot day in seattle. like every seattle bride, kelsey was praying for the sun. luckily, her prayer was answered. with seattle… you just never know. i wasn’t worried though, i knew i was going to get spectacular images from kelsey+lane even if it was hailing. after all, it was their amazing engagement session that won me an award.

kelsey having some fun with her veil

this was meant as a serious shot, but the groomsmen surprised me in the middle of it. haha

kelsey’s dad wore these trouser shorts before the wedding as a joke. for a minute kelsey was worried.

after the wedding, kelsey+lane and i snuck off to the private beach next to the club house for a couple shots with the beautiful sunset.

lane enjoying a dance with his mother

kelsey + lane, thank you for another great shoot. wish you lots of love and happiness

wedding | November 28, 2008
since i’m still crazy busy and haven’t posted in a while, here’s a super-duper-giagantic-jumbo post to make up for missing in action these couple of weeks.
I’ve been looking forward to maribeth+michael’s wedding since we’ve first met. my eyes sparkled when they told me their venue was going to be at pacific design center. i was estatic to be able to work at this beautiful venue where the first season of one of my favorite shows, “top design” took place. the incredible day was coordinated by the fabulous uyen from sassy girl weddings and maribeth’s picture perfect hair and makeup was done by nicole deanne. enjoy!
it’s maliya!
to prevent the “asian flush,” maribeth had to take something that didn’t taste too good
my favorite kind of lighting
the modern architecture made for the perfect backdrop
the gorgeous details and setting
since maribeth+michael met through a dancing group, their reception really reflected their passion … there was dancing 90% of the time.
maribeth’s dad was an incredible dancer too…
by the end of the night, the energy was still on full blast.
maribeth + michael, thank you so much for this fabulous experience and all the beautiful images to add to my website!
Crisis’ over… I hope

hsin-i + daniel
wedding | November 12, 2008
hsin-i+daniel’s wedding took place at the beautiful woodmark hotel in kirkland. the day was filled with love, laughter, breath-taking water view, and LOTS of dancing. all of my favorite things that make a perfect wedding!
i love this shot of their first sight

hsin-i+daniel had one of the most unique seating cards/programs i’ve ever seen. each stationary is a cut out of a building and when all stacked together form a city! unfortunately, we couldn’t get them to all stand up at the same time for the photo.

i’m gloating … again
studio news, wedding | October 28, 2008
there were some incredibly amazing images and super tough competitors this year at the contest held by brides magazine and wpja. i’m surprised and delighted to find i placed in this year’s contest.
michelle + jeff
engagement | October 28, 2008
i finally got to editing on michelle + jeff’s wedding, and i realized i haven’t blogged about their fantastic engagement session yet!
one of the best compliments i’ve ever received was when jeff told me that his grandmother cried when she saw one of the images and said it was the most beautiful photo she’s ever seen. you know me and making people cry … ![]()
michelle + jeff, here’s a tiny sneak peek just for you …
lisa+kent
wedding | October 20, 2008
soooooooooooooo behind…
you might remember lisa+kent from their super fun and happy engagement session. i absolutely adore lisa+kent. it could be the fact that they are one of the nicest and funniest couples i’ve ever met or it could also be how excited they are about my work. (yes, i’m a sucker for flattery.)
the wedding specs: their beautiful day took place at one of my favorite venues, the chic and modern pravda studio and catered by ravishing radish. the amazing day was coordinated and made possible by the one and only, mrs. strawberry.
the block party ended up providing the perfect backdrops

2 images in 1! what a great deal!

gotta give a big shout out to lisa+kent’s wedding details, since kent’s the one who actually designed and decorated everything!

lisa+kent, we’re so glad to have met you guys. thank you so much for sharing your lovely day with us!
call off the search team, i’m still alive…

… well, in a matter of speaking
our europe trip was fun and exhilarating, but since then, i have been chained to the computer trying to play catch up.
since i don’t have much time to write a detail essay of my trip, here’s the cliff’s notes version of my afterthought:
1. paris IS the most inspirational and artistic city in the world.
2. people watching is just as fun as sighting seeing.
3. the spanish people are all super hot.
my impression of “venus de milo”

the metro was a favorite location for naps

i didn’t realize that the french was so into u.s. politics, but i saw several obama supporters and campaigns around paris.

one of barcelona’s hot po-po on duty.

random image that dave took… even though i look like sh*t, i still really like it.

all images shot with our trusty little point and shoot, canon powershot sd870 is. what can i say? we got lazy and didn’t want to carry the beast around.
